Sing-a-long
So tonight we’re getting ready for the sing-a-long at Stone Oak Elementary tomorrow. Fortunately, Julia and Hannah’s grades (K & 5) sing-a-long at the same time. Julia has melded the hand motions of “Rudolph” with the lyrics of “Jingle Bells.” I’m thinking it’s a winning fusion of lyrical elements.
Julia also asked/told/jabbered this at me last week: “Mama come to school bring McDonalds eat lunch with Julia and read a story and Julia’s friends say, “Way to go, Julia!’”
So I’m guessing I’m also eating lunch with her, and reading a story afterward (Madeline’s Christmas- thank you, Konen, from 1996 forward!) When Hannah heard my plan, she informed me that I was eating lunch with her tomorrow, too, an hour later. Darn those holiday calories, anyway.
In a house in San Antonio
On top of the lime
Lived four little girls
All competing for time;
They went to school
Though they sometimes didn’t wanna
Competing for time, today and tamarraw
The small one was JULIA GUANNA.
Okay.
Let’s hope I do better tomorrow so all the kindergarteners really will say, “Way to go, Julia!”
