The Notebook
I carry a tote bag to church every Sunday, largely filled with notebooks and a handful of pens. I often need a notebook to jot reminders to myself; the girls use them to detail their deeply spiritual thoughts during worship.
Today I culled several pages, lest they fall into the hands of pesky Methodists or Episcopalians who might try to swipe our theology.
By the end of the sermon, our tummies are usually growling. Or is that our consciences?
Rachel and Lois often comment on current events, as well as offer life advice like, “Don’t reproduce. Please.”
Family dynamics – explained.
No ears. Big mouth. Uh-huh.
My Father, which art in the pew beside me, please quit flicking my perfectly-combed hair.
Looks like someone I should know. But I just can’t place her.

And the occassional entry that saves their lives.
