i was starting to think i may perhaps end up being the sole young woman whom cared about this, at least currently i know im not ridiculous :) i'll make sure to check out a few several other threads immediately after i get a bit of caffeine in me, it is challenging to read with out my coffee, I was up late last night enjoying facebook poker and after polishing off a few beers i wound up giving up all my zynga poker chips adios for now :)

I marvel at the bravery of these children who just leap into new lives--not knowing if anyone will catch them. I think it's amazing.

Julia's grown up so much! I wish I were there on Palm Sunday, singing along.

Becky,
Patti had forwarded your blog to me. I was so touched by God's work in your life and what a precious gift Julia has been to all of you. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and your family and your church. I know it has been years since we have seen each other but this was too precious not to respond.
In His Love,
Melody Arlan Gerland

A neighbor told me about another couple who adopted from Russia. They'd stayed in a hotel for weeks waiting for the paperwork to be completed, then on the appointed day went to pick up their little 3-year-old girl. When she came to them in the waiting room, she was accompanied by a 6-year-old boy, who announced in broken English that he was coming with her. They explained as gently as they could that they had come for the little girl, and they were sure another family would come for him. He drew them a picture of a house, a rainbow, a Mom, a Dad, a 3-year-old girl -- and himself. So they stayed another few weeks and came home with him as well. There's some bravery for you, too, that little boy marching to see them. (To say nothing of Mom and Dad! and of course you've said nothing of your own very considerable bravery.)

God bless Julia. She's an inspiration to me daily, as are you.

That is beautiful, Becky! I too have committed to listening to the New Testament before Easter. It will be worth it! I love the CDs. They really make the Bible come to life!
