Psalm 147

Our church’s youth choir led us in worship today.  I am very partial to three of the four altos on the right.

(l-r)  Allison, Bailey, Katie, Kyle, Joey, Lois, Rachel, Brooke (Lois’ best friend) and Hannah

And they sang a capella – the way I learned to sing.  In fact, the congregation sang “Trust and Obey,” which – when I was a child – we sang every week at the start of Sunday School.  Not that my long-suffering teachers would have thought it made much of an impression on me.

PhotobucketI’m going to be humming all day……

Just beautiful! Please tell the kids congrats – they made our day..

  • Dorothy:

Becky..your such a good mom!!I wanted to be sure you knew that today.

  • sharon:

    Very up-lifting!

  • BNS:

That was just wonderful! James heard the singing and came in while I was watching this. He demanded that I start it over so he could hear the whole thing and then watch a third time so he could clap along :)

    Just beautiful!

  • Ben Jones:

Since I was at Lackland today, this was such a joy to get to hear.—Praise God. Ben

  • Joyce:

I was there this morning and enjoyed it then and did just as much again tonight after watching and listening to them sing. They were outstanding!! You have every right to be proud but so did every parent of those kids. Amazing voices and amazing blend!!!

  • Vicki:

Such talented singers!! BTW Beck: Your Sunday School teachers may (understandably?) NOT have thought you conceptually understood ‘Trust and Obey’ but I’m sure they knew that you also can sing beautifully!

  • Clyde Tigner:

    Wonderful!!! Just loved it!!!

  • john tigner:

Excellent, love the music. lover the ALTOS, they are special. Taymore and I sang a duet of “Be Still My Soul” Sunday before last. the third verse we sang a capella. The people loved it, we got many compliments, Taymore is a dynamite sorano, I sang the tenor line a little flat.
