An older Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus novel. A little jerkier than her later mysteries, but still good, and gives lots of the background of future stories (Peter’s ranch, the struggles of Rina’s sons, etc.)
Plot line: The daughter of an aging Hollywood star is assaulted in her home on the grounds of her spa. Peter’s juggling this case, and tending to his highly-pregnant and overly-emotional wife.
Worth a read, but better to get in a used book sale (like I did.)
